The best live music in the Midwest comes from the riverfront stage at our RV Resort & Marina on the Missouri River . Most musical acts perform songs from a variety of popular bands, and sometimes even a few songs of their very own. This summer, throughout July and August, The Cottonwood Cove has an incredible lineup of tribute bands to entertain you every Saturday. A tribute band is one that covers only the songs of one particular artist that has become well-known and well-loved over their career rather than lots of different artists. Often, they are so good, it seems like you are actually listening to the original band perform the music! Memorial Day Weekend is here! Just in case you are searching for a few fun things to do over this 3-day holiday weekend, The Cottonwood Cove has a few great suggestions for you.  Picnic This is the time of year when it's a joy to fire up the grill and dine outside. The outdoor areas of The Cottonwood Cove members at our RV Resort & Marina in Nebraska each have their own look and style, most of which include excellent spots to enjoy a picnic with friends and family.  Of course, if you don't feel like cooking, the Lodge has lots of outdoor seating available. If you're a fishing enthusiast, then our incredible marina & RV resort on the Missouri River is the perfect place for you! Throughout the season there are all kinds of fishing tournaments happening at The Cottonwood Cove , and today we've got the details on two of them for you. Mark your calendars now! Carp City Open May 20 The Tekamah, NE/"Carp City Open" is a non-profit organization that has been around since 1977. They sponsor a fishing tournament every month on a Sunday, and The Cottonwood Cove will be home to this great day of fishing on Sunday, May 20, 2018. There will be an 8 am shotgun start taking off from our marina, and the tournament will end at 1 pm SHARP!  Each boat may contain a team of 2 adult members and unlimited junior members. Membership for anyone 16 years and older is $15 each, and junior memberships are free. There is a $15 entry fee per boat, due at the beginning of each tournament.  You can find out more about this group on

One of the perks of having an RV resort & marina on the Missouri River is the immediate access to all kinds of fun on the water. This means plenty of fishing tournaments, including the upcoming Carp-O-Rama 2018! After a full day of fishing, everyone will meet up at The Cottonwood Cove for the weigh-in, followed by a night full of delicious food, incredible drinks, and amazing live music. The Details The Carp-O-Rama Bowfishing Tournament will take place on Saturday, May 12 from 7 am-5pm . There will be 2 divisions this year - Lake and River. The tournament zone is Sioux City, NE to Rulo, NE. You may not go north of Ponca State Park. Teams can launch from any boat ramp in the zone, east of Hwy 75 and west of I-29 in Iowa and Nebraska.  Lake Division : Any public lake from Sioux City to Rulo between I-29 and Hwy. 75. The format for the Lake Division is total weight. River Division : This falls within the same space limit as the Lake Division, and teams cannot go past the
