The Reasons You Should Be Camping This Fall At The Cottonwood Cove
We've still got RV lots available in our latest addition, just recently finished, at our Midwest RV campground & marina. Just because the summer season is coming to an end in a few weeks, that's no excuse to stop camping. On the contrary, camping in the fall offers all kinds of great opportunities to enjoy at The Cottonwood Cove.
People keep camping through October at our vacation destination in the Midwest. Here are a few reasons why fall camping is incredible and you should consider grabbing one of our new lots for yourself and hanging out here for the next few months.
Plenty to Entertain You
Our riverfront stage has hosted some of the best musicians right here all season long, and that's not going to stop anytime soon! Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through the end of September our music schedule is filled with amazing bands to keep you entertained and on your feet dancing.
Fall on the Missouri River is an excellent time for fishing, and the hunting is great too. If these are outdoor sports that you enjoy, then camping at The Cottonwood Cove keeps you close to the action. Don't forget about another sport too - football! We've got lots of football fans parked here every year, and the tailgating is fantastic!
Breathtaking Beauty
Each season has its own beauty, but there's just something extra special about the fall. Before the leaves fall off the trees for the winter, they turn all sorts of breathtakingly beautiful colors. Cruising down the Missouri River, it looks like a completely different trip than the one you take in the summertime.
Enjoyable Weather
Fall days are still warm enough to enjoy outdoors with no more than a light jacket, and sometimes you don't even need that. The cooler weather in the evenings is often perfect for leaving your windows open, offering some of the most restful sleep you've ever had. Those nights also mean it's time for warm, cozy campfires, roasting marshmallows and making s'mores.
The colder temperatures also slow down those pesky bugs and flies, getting rid of many of them altogether. No more fighting to keep them out of the RV and away from your outdoor furniture. The Lodge at The Cottonwood Cove has those wonderful large glass roll-up doors, so if it gets colder than we're comfortable with, we can close them and keep the warmth inside to enjoy.
A Slower Pace
Weekdays are a lot quieter around here in the fall since school has started back up for the kiddos. That makes for a calmer, more relaxing atmosphere all around. Summer seems to be more of a time to go-go-go, but fall is better for "chilling" out. (Literally!)
Have You Reserved Your RV Lot?
As we mentioned above, we still have RV lots available in our newest River Shores-West section behind our Riverfront lots. This will be our last addition until the year 2020, so you need to get your spot reserved now before they're all spoken for. In addition to access to the members-only fun we talked about in last week's blog, each RV lot comes with the following amenities.
