An Exciting Weekend of Fishing Coming to The Cottonwood Cove
If you're a fishing enthusiast, then our marina & RV campground on the Missouri River is the perfect place for you! You've got access to fun on the river at The Cottonwood Cove all season long, and throughout that season you'll find some incredible fishing tournaments to take part in.
Here is a couple that we highly suggest you check out. They are both on the same weekend, so you might as well camp out here with us and enjoy both days of fishing!

The Bowfishers of Nebraska (BON) is hosting this tournament for teams of up to 4 people.
Teams are allowed to launch from anywhere along the Missouri River in Nebraska, Iowa, or Kansas. The boundaries are from Kansas City, KS to the south boat ramp of Ponca SRA in Nebraska. You may not go north or the south boat ramp in Ponca or east on the Missouri River from Kansas City, KS and absolutely no shooting fish until 7:00 am sharp.
Weigh-in will take place at The Cottonwood Cove Marina at 5:00 pm. Both the truck and boat used must be present at the weigh-in. Teams will be penalized 1 fish per minute up to 20 minutes after 5:00 pm. Any team coming in after 5:20 pm will be disqualified. There will be a polygraph issued to the winning teams. The Tekamah, NE/"Carp City Open" is a non-profit organization that has been around since 1977. They sponsor a fishing tournament in the area once a month from April-September and The Cottonwood Cove will be home to this great day of fishing on May 19. This series of tournaments is open, so anglers are invited to fish just one or fish them all.

They sponsor a fishing tournament in the area once a month from April-September and The Cottonwood Cove will be home to this great day of fishing on May 19. This series of tournaments is open, so anglers are invited to fish just one or fish them all.
There will be an 8 am shotgun start taking off from our marina, and the tournament will end at 1 pm SHARP! Memberships are $15 per person, plus $15 per boat due on the day of the tournament. Prizes will be given out each month for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places as well as one for "Big Fish." The monetary amount of the prizes depends on the number of entrants. If you already have an RV lot reserved at riverfront vacation destination in the Midwest, you're only a short walk away from all the fun that's always happening around here. If you don't, it's not too late! We have a handful of lots available in our newest 2019 addition, but hurry because they won't last long!
