It's an Eventful March, Ending With a Beginning - Our Opening Day!
With February soon coming to a close, The Cottonwood Cove is only 1 month away from Opening Day 2019! That doesn't mean that we're just going to sit around and wait though. On the contrary, there are quite a few fun events planned throughout March at our Midwest vacation destination and we're looking forward to seeing you at them.
Going Away Party for Shawn & Amy Thallas
Saturday, March 2
It's almost time to say goodbye to Shawn & Amy, and if you haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting them, say hello and goodbye at the same time! The Lodge will be open to everyone from 5 pm-1 am with pizza being served from the kitchen and all your favorite drinks flowing from the bar. (Yes, even those famous Watermelons!) From 7-11 pm Rustic Gold will take over the stage and we expect you all to be on the dance floor. A fantastic way to spend a Saturday night!
Spring Fling
Saturday, March 9
We're getting really antsy for spring to finally get here, so we're jumping the gun and hosting our Spring Fling a week and a half early. (Who's going to stop us?) Your favorite bar & restaurant on the Missouri River will be open from 5 pm-1 am with a fully stocked bar and our popular pizza. Hitting the stage this time around is a Cottonwood favorite, the Charm School Dropouts from 7-11 pm.
Blair Trip St. Paddy's Day Fundraiser
Saturday, March 16
Once again this year we're celebrating St. Patrick's Day (or rather the day before it) with Blair Youth Shooting Sports and you're all invited! We'll be here from noon-8:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased from club members ahead of time or at the door on event day for $10.
Each ticket includes a meal of corned beef and cabbage plus a ticket for the gun raffle. If you don't have time to stick around, meals may be taken to go. This year they will be raffling off a Ruger 10-22 Rifle. Put on your greenest green and join us for this fun fundraiser!

The day before we officially welcome everybody in and around town back to The Cottonwood Cove. we like to host a party for the members. This gives them all a chance to catch up on everything that's happened since last season, reminisce about seasons past, and let the newest members know all about the great times ahead of them! We'll be providing free food and drinks, but great memories are sure to be provided by everyone there.
OPENING DAY AT THE COTTONWOOD COVE
Saturday, March 30
Today is the day (FINALLY) that begins another exciting season at our RV campground & marina on the Missouri River. The Lodge bar & restaurant will open at 11 am with a full menu of all of your favorite food and drinks. After an entire day of fun, we'll go into the evening with added excitement. Taxi Driver will be rocking The Cottonwood Cove from 7-11 pm.
We've only got about a month left before we're ready to get back into another season of riverfront fun, and we're going to make sure it's an awesome month! That way the wait for Opening Day at The Cottonwood Cove won't seem so far away. After all, you know what they say, "Time flies when you're having fun!"
