Join Us at the 2019 Omaha International Boat, Sports, & Travel Show

It's time once again for the annual Omaha International Boat, Sports, and Travel Show. The Cottonwood Cove is going to be there and we really hope to see many of you at this amazing expo too. We'll be letting everyone know about all the fun and excitement planned at our RV campground and marina on the Missouri River. We'll even be hosting an Open House over the weekend back at our place in case anyone wants to get a closer look. 

Boat, Sports, & Travel Show
You are invited to come on in to the great outdoors February 21-24, 2019, at the CHI Health Center (formerly known as the CenturyLink Center) in Omaha. This incredible expo is filled with all the latest and greatest involving RVs, boating, fishing, hunting, and everything that surrounds those fantastic outdoor activities. 

 Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students 18 and under, and children 5 and under get in for free. There is so much to see and do, we highly suggest you try to attend as many of the 4 days that it runs as possible. 
  • 5 pm-9 pm, Thursday, Feb. 21
  • 12 pm-9 pm, Friday, Feb. 22
  • 9 am-9 pm, Saturday, Feb. 23
  • 9 am-5 pm, Sunday, Feb. 24

A few of the activities you can enjoy include a cold stream trout tank and fishing simulator, the Nebraska Game & Parks archery range, and the great American Duck Race. You will get hands-on experience with the latest equipment, see eye-popping displays of the newest boats, motors, trailers, and personal watercraft. 

Also, expect to roam aisles of campers and RVs, plus The Cottonwood Cove will be there telling everyone all about the best place to park those vehicles when you're in Nebraska - our popular vacation destination in the Midwest! Steve and Mike will both be there to answer questions and explain details. 

Some of our current Cottonwood members will also be on hand to tell about their first-hand experiences camping at The Cottonwood Cove. Even if you are already familiar with us, swing on by to say hello and grab our 2019 event calendar. You can even buy a brand new hoodie to help get you through those chilly spring evenings when we open up for the season!

 It's Open House Weekend Too!
After hearing about how wonderful The Cottonwood Cove is at the expo, you may want to take a closer look. For that very reason, we'll be hosting an Open House on both Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 23 & 24, from 12-5 pm. There will be free hot dogs and refreshments, Darcy will be around to answer all of your questions, and a few of our members will be stopping by too. 

 Whether you're checking out our Midwest RV campground & marina for the first time or you've been here many times in the past, if you're in the Blair area, come on by and hang out with us. Have a Watermelon, purchase a hoodie, and maybe even pick out a lot!   

Do your best to make some time on the calendar to attend a few days of the Omaha International Boat, Sports, & Travel Show. Hopefully you'll be able to swing by The Cottonwood Cove that weekend too. Opening day is coming up soon (March 30, 2019) but we would love to see you before that!

It's Pool Time at The Cottonwood Cove! (Finally!!!)

The wait is finally over... the brand new pool and swim-up bar at The Cottonwood Cove are now open! Quite a few guests at our Midwest RV Resort & Marina have given it a try, and absolutely everyone loves it! Home Of Nebraska's Favorite Drink - The Watermelon!

Every person has a favorite "go-to" cocktail. If you've ever had the chance to try the signature drink at our RV resort & marina in Nebraska , there's a good chance your favorite is the Watermelon! Haven't had one yet? The Cottonwood Cove is open for our 2018 season, so now is the perfect time to discover this refreshing drink! Home of the Watermelon Way back in January of 1982, George Rybin, son of the owners of The Cottonwood Cove at the time, as well as a future owner himself, went on a Carribean cruise. He was accompanied by his then-girlfriend, Sharon Young, who worked at The Cottonwood Cove Marina.  While visiting the islands, they both fell in love with a delicious, knock-you-on-your-a$$ drink called, you guessed it, the Watermelon.
