Labor Day Weekend Live Music Spotlight
The best live music in Nebraska graces the riverfront stage at The Cottonwood Cove every weekend from spring through fall. This Labor Day Weekend, we've put together a thoroughly entertaining lineup that will keep you out on that dance floor! Here's a closer look at the bands coming to our RV campground & marina on the Missouri River this holiday weekend.
Taxi Driver
Friday, Aug. 30
This 6-piece cover band is known for having one of the most diverse song lists in the Midwest! They play music spanning from the 50s to today including oldies, Motown, classic rock, country, dance, new hits, and more. Though the band has changed members a few times over the years, its been around for nearly 2 decades. Taxi Drive always puts on a show that has the crowd up on their feet and having a good time.
Audio Mind
Saturday, Aug. 31
This incredible rock cover band creates a sound that is simply irresistible! They'll have you tapping your toes, singing along, and out on the dance floor enjoying all kinds of classics you know, love, and cherish. While Audio Mind is a newer group, it is comprised of talented members from a variety of other well-established bands. That experience shows through in an awesome performance.
Eckophonic
Saturday, Aug. 31 & Sunday, Sept. 1
Eckophonic delivers a hyped-up show with current Top 40 songs from Calvin Harris, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, KE$HA, Rhianna, Usher, LMFAO, and much, much more! They also sprinkle their setlists with choice 80s and 90s dance songs you know and love.
Chesire Grin
Sunday, Sept. 1
For more than 2 decades, Cheshire Grin has been one of the most successful cover bands in Omaha. A few members have come and gone over the years and new songs have been added from time to time, but the outstanding sound & performance remains the same. Expect a lineup of "NEW" music, with a few classics thrown in for good measure. This band knows how to get a party started and their energy and passion will keep you thoroughly entertained.
Lava Rockets
Sunday, Sept. 1
These awesome rockers are turning this Labor Day Weekend show into a reunion of sorts. Get ready for a musical stroll down memory lane! Tons of fans, as well as old employees and bar owners from the many places Lava Rockets have played over the years, will be making a night of it! Brian Eckleberry from Eckophonic will be filling in on keys and vocals for the evening. We're excited to have them close out our Sunday night multi-band extravaganza!
Nebraska Showdown
Monday, Sept. 2
This is the Midwest's premier, Nashville-quality, country band! You'll enjoy country music as it was truly meant to be performed. Some of the artists Nebraska Showdown covers include Alan Jackson, Dwight Yoakam, Brooks & Dunn, Johnny Cash, Blake Shelton, Conway Twitty, Toby Keith, Zac Brown Band, and Glen Campbell, to name just a few.
Labor Day Weekend at The Cottonwood Cove
Amazing live music is a huge part of the Labor Day Weekend festivities at our vacation destination in the Midwest, but we've got a lot more in store for you too! The Lodge will be serving up fantastic food and incredible drinks all weekend long, including Monday when we're normally closed.
We'll also have the TVs in the Lodge turned to the Nebraska Cornhuskers season-opening game on Saturday, August 31 when they kick off at 11:00 am against the South Alabama Jaguars. If you haven't experienced a Huskers game with the fans at The Cottonwood Cove, you're in for a real treat!
That amazing 21+ pool will be open all weekend long. Get ready to chill out in the water and enjoy a cocktail or two from the swim-up bar. (Did you know that we've got 1 of only 2 swim-up bars in the entire state of Nebraska? You do not want to miss out on that!)
All of that excitement is in addition to the outdoor fun our RV campground & marina in the Midwest has to offer on a daily basis. This includes cookouts, boating, scenic riverfront views, and great times with incredible people. There's still plenty of time to have some fun with us before we close down for the winter. We're looking forward to spending an eventful Labor Day Weekend with everyone right here at The Cottonwood Cove. Keep in mind, though, that the fun doesn't end once Labor Day is over. We camp until the end of October around here and the live music still happens on the weekends throughout the fall. There's always something fun going on at The Cottonwood Cove and we want you to be a part of it!
