August 3 is annually set aside on the calendar as National Watermelon Day. Here at The Cottonwood Cove , we "celebrate" watermelons all season long, but in our case, in liquid form! Our Nebraska bar & restaurant on the Missouri River happens to be the Home of the Watermelon , a refreshing cocktail that is a must-try for anyone age 21+.  Guests at our vacation destination in the Midwest can't seem to get enough of this delicious drink. Of course, the actual melon itself is also a tasty treat to enjoy on a hot summer day. Opening Day 2019 for the Lodge at The Cottonwood Cove has finally arrived! It feels like forever since we've gotten to hang out with all of you wonderful people for warm weather fun,  incredible live music,  great food, and Watermelons, but we're ready for many, many days full of all of that! Here's a quick peek at what we've got in store for you this season at our RV campground & marina on the Missouri River .  Food, Drinks, & Fun! St. Patrick's Day falls on a Sunday this year, but we're starting the celebration a day early on Saturday, March 16 at The Cottonwood Cove . Once again the group from Blair Youth Shooting Sports will be hosting a delicious holiday fundraiser in the Lodge and you're all invited!  Dinner & Raffle Blair Youth Shooting Sports are hosting their annual St. Patrick's Day fundraiser on Saturday, March 16, 2019, from noon-8:00 pm . Tickets are $10 at the door and you not only get a delicious corned beef and cabbage meal but also a ticket for the gun raffle.  This year's  raffle winner will be taking home a Ruger 10-22 Rifle. The Lodge at The Cottonwood Cove is filled with hungry and thirsty people all summer long because we've got an amazing kitchen and bar staff that creates delicious treats for everyone.
