Throughout the season there are all kinds of fishing tournaments happening at The Cottonwood Cove , and today we've got the details on two of them for you. Mark your calendars now! Carp City Open May 20 The Tekamah, NE/"Carp City Open" is a non-profit organization that has been around since 1977. They sponsor a fishing tournament every month on a Sunday, and The Cottonwood Cove will be home to this great day of fishing on Sunday, May 20, 2018. There will be an 8 am shotgun start taking off from our marina, and the tournament will end at 1 pm SHARP!  Each boat may contain a team of 2 adult members and unlimited junior members. Membership for anyone 16 years and older is $15 each, and junior memberships are free. One of the perks of having an RV resort & marina on the Missouri River is the immediate access to all kinds of fun on the water. This means plenty of fishing tournaments, including the upcoming Carp-O-Rama 2018! After a full day of fishing, everyone will meet up at The Cottonwood Cove for the weigh-in, followed by a night full of delicious food, incredible drinks, and amazing live music. The Details The Carp-O-Rama Bowfishing Tournament will take place on Saturday, May 12 from 7 am-5pm . There will be 2 divisions this year - Lake and River. The tournament zone is Sioux City, NE to Rulo, NE. You may not go north of Ponca State Park. Teams can launch from any boat ramp in the zone, east of Hwy 75 and west of I-29 in Iowa and Nebraska.  Lake Division : Any public lake from Sioux City to Rulo between I-29 and Hwy. 75.
