4th of July Fun & July Events at The Cottonwood Cove

Your favorite summer vacation destination in the Midwest has lots of fun things planned for the 4th of July this year, plus even more excitement coming your way throughout the rest of the month. The recent flooding has made scheduling things a bit more difficult than we'd like, but we're not going to let it stop our holiday fun! Here is what July at The Cottonwood Cove has waiting for you. 

4th of July Festivities
Independence Day falls in the middle of the week this year, but instead of being annoyed that we don't get a 3-day weekend, we're looking at the bright side and extending the party even longer! We'll have our main celebration on Tuesday, July 3, with lots of great times planned for the following few days too. 
TUESDAY, JULY 3
Lodge open - 3:00 pm-1:00 am 
Blue Eyes live onstage - 7:00-11:30 pm  

WEDNESDAY, JULY 4
Lodge open -  11:00 am-10:00 pm

 THURSDAY, JULY 5
Lodge open - 3:00 pm-10:00 pm

FRIDAY, JULY 6
Lodge open - 11:00 am-1:00 am
Friday Specials - Blue Moon, and SoCo specials
Sinners & Saints onstage - 7:00-11:00 pm
Fireworks! - 9:30 pm

The bnad will continue playing once fireworks conclude.

SATURDAY, JULY 7
Lodge open - 11:00 am-1:00 am
Parade sign-in and lineup - 5:00 pm
Independence Day Golf Cart Parade - 6:00 pm

We need all of you to help us vote on the best-dressed golf cart! 
Bad Medicine: A tribute to Bon Jovi onstage - 8:30 pm
Fireworks - 9:30 pm

Bad Medicine will continue playing once fireworks conclude. 


July Live Music
Another benefit of hanging out at our RV park and marina on the Missouri River is that you get lots of chances to hear the best live music in the Midwest coming from our great big outdoor stage by the river. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in July we've got some old favorites, as well as some new talent, headed your way. We are also beginning our Tribute Band Concert Series taking place every Saturday.

The wait is finally over... the brand new pool and swim-up bar at The Cottonwood Cove are now open! Quite a few guests at our Midwest RV Resort & Marina have given it a try, and absolutely everyone loves it! Home Of Nebraska's Favorite Drink - The Watermelon!

Every person has a favorite "go-to" cocktail. If you've ever had the chance to try the signature drink at our RV resort & marina in Nebraska , there's a good chance your favorite is the Watermelon! Haven't had one yet? The Cottonwood Cove is open for our 2018 season, so now is the perfect time to discover this refreshing drink! Home of the Watermelon Way back in January of 1982, George Rybin, son of the owners of The Cottonwood Cove at the time, as well as a future owner himself, went on a Carribean cruise. He was accompanied by his then-girlfriend, Sharon Young, who worked at The Cottonwood Cove Marina.  While visiting the islands, they both fell in love with a delicious, knock-you-on-your-a$$ drink called, you guessed it, the Watermelon.
