5 Fun Ways to Enjoy Memorial Day Weekend at The Cottonwood Cove
Memorial Day Weekend will soon be here! (May 24-27, 2019) The very best place to spend the holiday is right here with us at our riverfront RV campground & marina in Nebraska. There are tons of incredible things to do around The Cottonwood Cove. Here are 5 of them to get you excited about getting over here and discovering even more!
#1 - Cook Out
Having your very own RV lot reserved at The Cottonwood Cove means that you're always close to all of the action. Right now we still have a few left in our newest addition, so it's not too late to become a member of our big, happy family!
Improvements can be made to your campsite which allows you to customize it in any way that you like. You can set up a grill, a fire pit, and maybe even an entire outdoor dining area.
Directional parking provides a consistent layout and campers can be backed into place so that neighbors' awnings face each other. This means that you can create a larger shared camping space with other family members or close friends. Just imagine the stories that will be told around your campfires this season (and all the s'mores that will be eaten!)
#2 - Dine In
Of course, you don't have to rely on your RV's kitchen or grilling out every night to enjoy a good meal. The Lodge at The Cottonwood Cove has a fantastic menu and full-service dining areas, both indoors and out. Our large patio is a favorite outdoor gathering spot to meet up with friends and enjoy some live music.
In addition to delicious food, our riverfront restaurant & bar in Blair offers some incredibly refreshing drinks too. The local favorite is our famous Watermelon (one taste and you'll be hooked!) but we also carry an excellent selection of ice-cold beers and have a bar stocked with all of your favorites.
#3 - Get On/In the Water
A 40' wide, soft slop boat ramp leading into a 12-acre deepwater marina gives you access to fun on the Missouri River. You can spend your Memorial Day Weekend out on the water enjoying nature at its finest.
You can also get in the water at our 21+ pool, complete with its very own swim-up bar. Enjoy your Watermelon's lounging out by the pool or chilling out in the cool, refreshing water.
#4 - Dance the Nights Away
Every weekend our large riverfront stage is filled with the best live music in Nebraska and for Memorial Day Weekend, we've lined up some of the most talented musicians in the Midwest. Even though we're regularly closed on Mondays, the Lodge will be open for business on Memorial Day and we've even scheduled a band to keep you entertained all afternoon.
#5 - Make New Friends
The Cottonwood Cove is one great big, happy, sometimes goofy but always incredible family! From our members with RV lots and marina slips to local residents to visitors just passing through that have heard about the awesome times that happen here, we all have a wonderful time together.
Members get to know each other by having their "home away from home" parked next to each other every season, plus through our many members-only events that occur throughout the year. (Even during the off-season!)
Non-members love hanging out at the Lodge and getting to know everyone having a great time. We also host quite a few events that are open to the public that let everyone get better acquainted and form lifelong friendships.
We're looking forward to seeing lots of familiar faces this Memorial Day Weekend at our Midwest vacation destination and excited to meet some brand new friends too.
