Exciting Upcoming Events at The Cottonwood Cove
The 2019 season at our vacation destination in the Midwest won't officially begin until the end of March, but we miss everyone way too much to wait until then! Here is a list of exciting things coming to The Cottonwood Cove between now and opening day on Saturday, March 30. A few are for members only, many are open to the public, and they are all guaranteed to be FUN!
Halfway to T&A Party
Saturday, Jan. 26
You can find all the details about this awesome mid-winter event in our "Are You Ready? It's Almost Halfway to T&A at The Cottonwood Cove!" blog from a couple of week's ago. The short version is that we'll open the doors to the Lodge at 5:00 pm to get the party started.
There will be a limited menu available consisting of pizza and nachos plus a fully stocked bar. (Who else is ready for a Watermelon?) To entertain you, our stage will be graced by a Cottonwood favorite - Sinners & Saints!
Cabin Fever
Saturday, Feb. 9
(Members Only Event)
This is a day all of the members of The Cottonwood Cove are invited to catch up with old friends. You may even make a few new ones because we've added some great new members recently.
The social gathering will take place in the banquet room of the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Omaha. If you haven't booked your room yet, you can call the hotel directly at 402-504-9444. Our special pricing for rooms deadline was 1/8/19, but mention that you're with The Cottonwood Cove group just in case they will still honor the discount.
Our Members Committee will be announcing upcoming events. There will be a "pot luck" dinner that evening and everyone is invited to BYOB. We'll spend the day reminiscing and making a few new memories together.
BON Wild Game Feed
Saturday, Feb. 16
Make sure that you show up for this delicious event hungry! The Bowfishers of Nebraska (BON) will be hosting this tasty evening from 5 pm-midnight in the Lodge at The Cottonwood Cove. You are invited to bring your own wild game dish to share and that will get you into the event for free. If you don't want to cook, you can still join us and sample the food for $10 at the door. In addition to a terrific meal, there will also be all sorts of prizes up for grabs through raffles and an auction.
Omaha International Boat Sports and Travel Show
February 21-24
Once again The Cottonwood Cove will be making an appearance at this incredible expo featuring RVs, boating, fishing, hunting, and everything that surrounds those awesome activities. It is $10 for adults, $5 for students 18 and under, and children under 5 get in for free.
The expo is located at the CHI Health Center (formerly known as the CenturyLink Center) in Omaha. Be sure to swing by our booth and say hello while you're at the show checking out the newest things in outdoor fun.
Open House at The Cottonwood Cove
Saturday & Sunday, February 23 & 24
Since we expect to meet a lot of new people at the Boat Sports and Travel Show in Omaha, we'll be hosting an Open House at The Cottonwood Cove during show weekend. On Saturday and Sunday from noon-5 pm, anyone interested in getting a tour of our RV Campground on the Missouri River can show up and have a look around. Also, if any of you end up buying a new camper or boat at the show, we'll be around so you can have somewhere to put your brand new toy!
Going Away Party for Shawn & Amy Thallas
Saturday, March 2
Everyone is invited to the going away party for Shawn & Amy, whether you know them or not. (This could be your last chance, and they're wonderful people to know!) The Lodge will be open to the public from 5 pm-1 am. The bar will be open and the kitchen will be serving their delicious pizza. On stage will be Rustic Gold from 7-11 pm. This is going to be an incredibly fun Saturday night!
Spring Fling
Saturday, March 9
Spring 2019 officially arrives on March 20, but we don't want to wait that long. We'll be hosting our Spring Fling for everyone in town a bit early this year, well, because we want to! The Lodge will again be open from 5 pm-1 am with a fully stocked bar and pizza available. For entertainment, we'll have the Charm School Dropouts playing from 7-11 pm.

The day before our official opening day for 2019, all Cottonwood members are invited to hang out at the Lodge and catch up on everything they've been up to since last season. There will be free food & drinks served and, just like every time our members get together, a great time is sure to be had by all!
OPENING DAY at THE COTTONWOOD COVE

On Saturday, March 30, 2019, The Cottonwood Cove will be back to business as usual for another exciting season of riverfront fun! The Lodge bar & restaurant will open at 11 am with a full menu of all of your favorite food and drinks.
That evening Taxi Driver will be taking the stage from 7-11 pm. Plan to spend the entire day, or better yet, the entire weekend right here with us for a BIG grand opening of what will be one of our best seasons yet. (They just keep getting better and better every year!)
So you see, even though our RV campground & marina on the Missouri River is currently closed for the season, that doesn't mean the excitement has been put on hold. On the contrary, The Cottonwood Cove simply doesn't know how to truly take time off. We just have way too much fun hanging out with the awesome people that keep showing up around here! See you soon!
